Floodplain Management

CSS has extensive experience undertaking flood studies, floodplain risk management studies and post-flood investigations in Australia. We have completed more than 40 government funded studies and our high rate of repeat projects speaks to the quality and timeliness of our work.

Flood Impact/Risk Assessment

A flood impact assessment examines how proposed earthworks or buildings could alter local flooding. It compares existing conditions with predicted changes, identifies any adverse impacts, and guides design adjustments. The report supports development applications and shows compliance with council LEP and DCP requirements.

Water Resources

Catchment Simulation Solutions has developed significant expertise in delivering Water resources studies, particularly using the eWater Source software. This includes development of new Source models from the Barwon-Darling to the Hawkesbury-Nepean as well as testing structural options and proposed rule changes.

Peer Review

Catchment Simulation Solutions provides independent peer reviews of hydrologic and hydraulic modelling for private and government projects. We review flood impact assessments and major studies such as Flood Studies, Environmental Impact Assessments, and Flood Warning Systems, building on our strong internal quality assurance process.
